Barrakav's solution was very handy for a poor student about to start her first job in a new town. They didn't want a deposit and they offered good value. So I stayed a year.
With six bedrooms, the home was in a great place to make friends I've kept. I didn't need a car as the station was 15 minutes away on foot. It was close to pubs and restaurants too so the location was perfect!
