I'm Polish and found Barrakav on the internet before I came to England. I needed a home in Portsmouth, where I worked for three years. I was lucky because both Barrakav homes I used were much nicer than where my Polish friends were staying.
Everything was great and prices were sensible. The tenants were very pleasant and it was fascinatingly multicultural. I'm now in Germany but if I ever return to the UK I'll be back to Barrakav. I'd certainly recommend it.

All bills and Council Tax are included in the rent. No deposits are taken. Rooms are always paid for in advance, but either four-weekly or monthly.
